Tasting Note
Waipara has many natural advantages for grape production - long dry summers, sheltered from cold easterly winds by a range of coastal hills but exposed to the hot nor-west winds which help to control disease, and a remarkable range of soils, including shingle, river stones and pockets of clay loams over limestone.
This wine displays hints of passion fruit and ripe tropical aromas on the nose, slight sweetness of fruit on the front palate leads to a balanced structure with lingering finish. This wine is ready to be enjoyed as a young wine or into the future if careful cellared.
