Bodegas Tobia Graciano, Rioja 2018
Tasting Note
Intense and bright cherry red in colour with purple purple reflections. This wine has intense aromas; lots of red fruit (blackberry, pomegranate, raspberry) accompanied by a considerable burden of floral notes on a background of minerals and spices. Good structure and nice balance. Involving, wide and enjoyable mid palate. Fruit and floral notes are noticed along with well integrated wood. Polished tannins. Fresh acidity. Long and persistent finish. A very personal varietal wine.
Rioja wine with a modern character. Varietal wine made of Graciano, a variety that was recovered in the region. The vineyards are located in the region of La Rioja Baja. Manual harvest. The grapes are selected in 3 harvests in the vineyard. Pellicular maceration takes 48 hours. After a soft destemming, the must undergoes fermentation at controlled temperature (25ºC). Malolactic fermentation is conducted in Hungarian oak barrels and the wine is aged for 10 months in the same barrels.
