Ruby Dum Niepoort Drink Me Port Series, rich, full bodied, opulent dark fruit, delicious. The quirkily named Ruby Dum is classically trodden and fermented in granite lagares. It is fermented with wild yeast, and then aged in large old vats where oxidative development is minimal. The Ruby Dum Niepoort wine has dense rich lush fruit, opulent sweetness and great persistence in the mouth. There are lots of Ruby Ports out there and many can flatter to deceive. The sugar in these wines can cover a multitude of sins and nasty flavours. With Niepoort, the basis of all the wines is quality wine making from healthy fruit and this shines through in this hedonistic glass of Ruby.
