Château Tournefeuille is the passion of the Petit family and their friend Francis Cambier. Wine has been in the blood of the Petit family since the 18th century, but this château was only bought in 1998. What makes Tournefeuille, in the commune of Néac, so special is the south-west facing, clay/gravel slope on which it sits, just across the Barbanne valley from its near neighbour Pétrus. These conditions are perfect for the ripening of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Emeric Petit and Francis Cambier have worked tirelessly to produce fine red wines characterised by concentrated fruits and an elegant fine structure. They believe that the success of a great wine largely depends upon the quality, health and ripeness of the grapes. Each row of vines is cultivated and then vinified independently to ensure that the wine is a true expression of the terroir and the unique characteristics of the vine. After maturation the separate lots are blended together to create the final wine
